Chris Farnworth brings a 40-year career in business management and corporate finance, working in both public and private sectors across Europe, MENA, and Asia, to his roll as CEO of Zero Carbon. He has served as a direct founder and CEO on numerous C Suite publicly listed companies.
Mr. Farnworth acts as an intermediary investment banker and structure expert forcomplex financial transactions. As an investment banker, he becomes involved in early-stage companies preparing for a launch of an initial public offering (IPO) or corporate restructuring and M&A.
Chris Farnworth has specific expertise on the TSX, LSE, AIM and Frankfurt exchanges. He also has a role as a broker or financial adviser for institutional clients, family offices and specific investors that seek access to an array of international opportunities. He is a senior affiliate with CRJ Capital Partners (Zurich), Barros Group (Zurich, Swiss Alpine Trust.
The Right Honorable Sir Tony Baldry is known for his long and illustrious career in public service. Mr. Baldry has held various positions of prominence in the British government as a Member of Parliament (MP) for Banbury from 1983 to 2015.
His influence has been felt in the realms of foreign policy, development aid, and European politics. In his role as Minister of State, Tony Baldry managed a diverse portfolio of responsibilities, overseeing affairs related to South Asia, Africa, North America, and the West Indies.
Sir Tony is a practicing barrister. His contributions to European politics were recognized in 1975 when he was awarded the Robert Schumann Silver Medal, a prestigious honor named after one of the founding fathers of the European Union.
John F. Armstrong III brings a legacy of experience in the insurance industry to his role as a director at Zero Carbon. He is the current President of D&P Holdings, Inc., a company in Houston, Texas, that offers programs in the warranty and insurance sector to the automotive industry.
Mr. Armstrong is responsible for heading up Zero Carbon’s warrantee program for recycled and refurbished battery services. Mr. Armstrong has an abiding interest in securing a green future and Zero Carbon is a big step in this direction.

Dr. Athan Fox is a PhD graduate in Chemistry from the University of Cambridge. He has considerable expertise in research and innovation strategy; technology scale-up; sustainability & cleantech; filing and prosecuting patent applications; and technology transfer working mainly from the Silicon Fen (Cambridge technology cluster). Other positions include being the Co-founder & CEO of Ever Resource, and end-of-life battery recycling company, and Co-founder and CTO of Regenerate Technology. His team has won numerous awards for efforts developing recycling technology, including “Cambridge Independent Cleantech Company of the Year” in 2022, and Rushlight Resource Recycling and Resource Innovation Awards (2019).
Jay Khaira is a distinguished leader in investment strategy and dealmaking, known for his expertise in orchestrating complex financial transactions and restructurings that consistently yield significant nine-figure returns. As the Founder and Chief Investment Officer of Khaira Capital Inc., a leading family office, he has engineered numerous multi-million-dollar deals, specializing in identifying undervalued assets and executing strategic restructuring across various industries. His success in managing distressed assets and guiding companies through high-stakes financings and IPOs has solidified his reputation as a master in entrepreneurship, finance, and strategic exits. With a global perspective and relentless dedication to excellence, Khaira remains a trailblazing authority in the fields of structuring, financing, and value creation, admired by investors and industry leaders worldwide.
Miles Freeman has been at the forefront of waste, logistics & recycling technologies for nearly 20 years. He was co-founder of Ever Resource and a board member of Fenix Battery Recycling. Previous roles include becoming a Director at ECOBAT, the world’s largest recycler of lead, and a start-up battery recycling company which grew to a £6m GBP turnover company under his stewardship within 4 years of incorporation.
Mario Cohen brings experience in management at early-stage venture capital and technology firms to his role as the General Manager at Zero Carbon. Currently, he holds positions as a Partner at Star 26 Ventures, the Managing Director Spain / Portugal at PAX Technology, and CEO and Founder at DEMTECH, a business development firm that was designed to assist high-tech companies expand into the European and South American markets.
As the CEO and Founder of DEMTECH, Mario Cohen has developed partnerships with VC ́s / Family offices and Investors, working as their sales acceleration partner for their portfolio companies as they scale and expand their portfolio into new markets. Mr. Cohen also holds two board and advisor roles as a Founding Member and Board Advisor at FinTech Connector and as an Advisor at Fluz Coin.
Carlos Avenza has broad experience working with various corporate structures and investors of diverse nationalities and has led the growth formation of new businesses both nationally and internationally.
Carlos Avenza is the Project Manager for Zero Carbon. His background includes developing internal business transformations by adding technology to legacy institutions and, alternately, guiding external processes such as the development of major construction projects and infrastructure including hospitals, housing and unique buildings for both private and government sectors. His background will be valuable to Zero Carbon as the Company seeks to build its carbon processing plants and expand to other countries.
Recycling Partners –
International executive with over a decade of industry experience. Working with key political, business, regulatory,financial and community stakeholders globally to develop, implement and operate, sustainable & circular economyinvestments, including in complex and challenging environments.
Focused on decarbonisation of the energy & tyre sector, sustainable commodity markets as well as circular economyimplementation (CEI).
Tomaz has a diverse background with experience in various sectors such as automotive, renewable energy, and energyefficiency, provides him with a broad perspective on sustainability and business operations.
His current role as Chairman of the Board of Directors at Life L4T, specializing in tire recycling and the developmentof circular economy concepts, demonstrates a commitment to environmental sustainability and resource efficiency.His leadership in developing and managing the L4T Group indicates a proactive approach to addressingenvironmental challenges while also pursuing business opportunities. Tomaz is a forward-thinking entrepreneur witha strong focus on sustainability and innovation.
Advisors –
John F. Wallace is Chairman and CEO of the Delaware Board of Trade, John is also the President and Managing Partner of Philadelphia Financial Services, LLC (“PFS”). His company provides consulting services to firms in the financial services industry.
For the majority of his career, John was a senior executive & officer of the Philadelphia Stock Exchange (“PHLX”). . He traded on all floors of the exchange in the capacity of a specialist/market maker on the options and equity floors, as a floor broker for equities, options, and currencies.
John is a graduate of Franklin & Marshall College in Lancaster, PA. He served for 27 years in the United States Army, the Army Reserve and the Army National Guard; he retired holding the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. John saw active duty in Grenada in 1983 with 1st Special Operations Command and Desert Storm from December 1990 to July 1991 with the Third U.S. Army. He is a graduate of the United States Army Command and General Staff College and the National Emergency Management Institute of the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).
John Mahoney is responsible for the coordination of Zero Carbon’s EV battery warranty program. He is a seasoned executive with a rich history in the insurance and warranty industry. His career spans decades, with his entrepreneurial spirit coming to the forefront in 1987 when he established CRC Creditor Resources Canada Ltd., an insurance brokerage company.
For the last decade, John has continued his consulting work for both private and public companies. His commitment to every business opportunity is evident in his decades-long record of establishing and growing successful ventures in the insurance industry.
Ted Behrens plays a critical role in both sustainable energy solutions through battery recycling and in climate change mitigation through carbon credit initiatives. His strategic guidance not only ensures that the company adheres to environmentally friendly practices but also capitalizes on the emerging opportunities in carbon markets.
Ted’s extensive background in the energy and environmental sectors, notably his tenure at Shell Energy, brings invaluable experience in energy trading and carbon markets to the table. His insights into market trends, regulatory frameworks, and technological advancements provide the company with a competitive advantage. His role as an advisor to the board is indeed pivotal, particularly within the domains of battery recycling and carbon credit initiatives, which are fundamental to the Company’s innovative and environmentally conscious objectives. Ted’s academic credentials in Finance, Entrepreneurship, and Chemical Engineering equip him with a multi-faceted perspective necessary for comprehending and spearheading complex initiatives within the company. This diverse skill set enables him to address challenges from various angles, fostering innovation and effective decision-making.
